What this opportunity is
This is a volunteer/intern founding cohort for people in Singapore who:
- Have ever dreamed of a career in travel
- Want to learn how real travel products are built
- Are excited to co‑create something new and grow into shared paid roles together over time
It’s not a traditional job yet. It’s a chance to be in the room early, learn the playbook, and help shape a travel stream that can grow into paid, team‑based roles as we launch more products and formalise the Singapore entities.
Who this is for
We’d love to hear from you if you are:
- A student or fresh grad exploring travel, tourism, hospitality, events or social impact
- Mid‑career and quietly thinking “travel is where I’m meant to be”
- A host, youth leader, community organiser or storyteller who loves showing people “your” Singapore
- Someone who enjoys planning trips, connecting details, caring for people, and working in small teams
You need to be based in Singapore, comfortable with English (other languages are a plus), and able to commit consistent time each week.
Roles in this founding cohort
We’re especially looking for people who lean towards one (or both) of these directions:
1. Product Developers – Retreats, Small‑Group Tours, Hosted Learning, Singapore Catalogue
You’re excited by designing experiences and getting the details right. In this stream you will:
- Use existing templates to turn ideas into real, costed and priced products (retreats, small‑group tours, hosted learning experiences)
- Co‑create programmes with our network of global travel and impact partners
- Help build out a Singapore experiences catalogue – neighbourhood walks, cultural trails, community visits, themed experiences and more
- Work with the wider Teman / Guild of Life ecosystem to align products with regenerative and community‑first principles
2. Destination & Experience Managers – Coordinating Delivery with Partners
You enjoy making sure everything actually happens the way it was designed. In this stream you will:
- Act as the key coordinator for specific retreats, small‑group tours, hosted learning and MICE‑style opportunities
- Liaise with our travel and impact partners to confirm that the experience is being delivered to agreed standards and values
- Keep track of timings, logistics, suppliers and guest needs before, during and after an experience
- Capture feedback and learnings from each departure so that product developers and tour leaders can keep improving future offerings
3. Tour Leaders – Small‑Group Journeys from Singapore into Indonesia and Malaysia
You’re energised by being on the ground with people. In this stream you will:
- Help host and lead small‑group journeys departing from Singapore into nearby destinations such as Indonesia and Malaysia
- Coordinate logistics between locations, support travellers on the road, and make sure each journey runs smoothly and safely
- Work alongside local partners and guides, holding the “through line” of the trip and embodying Teman’s values in real time
- Feed back learnings from each journey to improve future products and systems
You don’t need professional tour‑leading or destination‑management experience yet; we’re looking for strong people skills, reliability, and a genuine care for travellers and communities. Training and mentoring will be provided.
