About the Role:

The Assistant Manager of the Resource Development Department plays a vital role in securing donations to support Habitat for Humanity's mission of building decent and affordable housing. You will be the strategic backbone of our fundraising efforts, ensuring we achieve our yearly goals. This role offers the opportunity to champion innovative ideasand contribute to departmental growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Annual Fundraising Plans: Craft a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the year, outlining monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Implementation and Oversight: Lead the execution of approved plans in collaboration with the team, including a junior executive and internal stakeholders.
  • Communication and Reporting: Provide bi-weekly updates to the department manager and team members about fundraising progress.
  • Innovation and Development: Brainstorm with the team and collaborate with other departments to create new engaging programs and projects to attract donors.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Act as the supervisor for a junior executive and other senior executives in the absence of the department manager. Take ownership of special projects assigned by the department manager and national director.
  • Regional Collaboration: Participate in regular meetings with Asia Pacific counterparts, actively engaging in regional strategic planning and execution.
Profile

Qualifications:

  • Passion for Habitat's Mission: Demonstrate a commitment to upholding and communicating Habitat for Humanity's principles (see: https://www.habitat.org.sg/about-us).
  • Proven Track Record: Hold a tertiary degree and a minimum of five years of successful fundraising experience in the social service sector, with demonstrable achievements in meeting targets.
  • Strategic and Action-Oriented: Possess strong conceptual thinking and the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans and execute them effectively.
  • Motivational Leadership: Be a team player with leadership qualities that inspire and motivate your team towards achieving annual goals.
  • Efficiency and Organization: Exhibit excellent time management skills, prioritizing tasks to achieve optimal results while adhering to regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. Be resourceful in utilizing search engines.
  • Communication Skills: Master written and spoken communication with the ability to create impactful graphic illustrations.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport in a multicultural environment.
  • Bilingual: Fluency in English and Mandarin is required to effectively interact with Mandarin-speaking donors.
