General:

  • The Deputy Executive Director (DED) is the second in command after the Executive Director (ED). The DED will be helping the ED fulfill the managerial roles needed to keep HCC operation running smoothly in all aspects. The DED knows, understands, and acts according to the Long Term Partnership Agreement between HCC and Kinchan Foundation.
  • The DED is responsible for helping the ED in implementing the strategic goals and objectives of HCC, following and enhancing HCC’s guiding principles.
  • Administration and Finance:
  • Participate in hiring and retention of competent, qualified staff.
  • Participate in preparing HCC’s budget.
  • Participate in reviewing all financial and narrative reports submitted by implementing partners.
  • When necessary, participate in HCC’s annual external audit.
  • Coordination:
  • Help the ED in preparing the status update of HCC operation.
  • Participate in yearly site visits for the selection of new schools to be added to the existing network.
  • Conduct regular site visits to report in writing on the status of program implementation.
  • Help organize monthly partnership calls with implementing partners and provide written updates.
  • Participate in the weekly meetings with the ED and donor and take notes.
Profile
  • At least Bachelor degree or equivalent in Education, Management, Social Sciences or related fields.
  • At least 2 years of experience with NGOs involved in childhood education and development or related fields.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in working with authorities both at national, subnational and local level is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and participative management skills.
  • Analytical skills and critical thinking.
  • Competence in monitoring and evaluating projects.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Fluent in Khmer and English
