CONTEXT AND ROLE WITHIN THE TEAM

Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement (IECD) is an international NGO running vocational training and entrepreneurship programs in Vietnam. Since 2013, the MSE program has provided basic management tools (cashbook, selling-price calculation, savings, customer relationships) to small entrepreneurs who want to structure their business. After the training, the team visits beneficiaries at their workplace to make sure the tools are properly applied.

The Project & Training Officer joins a team that already includes a Senior Trainer, who leads on pedagogical content and facilitation. The roles are complementary: the Senior Trainer remains primarily responsible for pedagogical expertise, while the Project & Training Officer takes charge of most of the coordination and operational follow-up, and also delivers training sessions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Project Coordination (approx. 40%)

  • Plan and organize program activities: training schedules, workshops, seminars and events, considering beneficiaries’ constraints (evening classes, 2–3 times per week).
  • Coordinate external consultants and speakers: briefing, scheduling, logistics, and monitoring the quality of their interventions.
  • Coordinate local partners (authorities, associations, community organizations) and anticipate the paperwork needed for training to run on time.
  • Support participant recruitment and their integration into the program.
  • Identify new partners and contribute to promoting the program.

2. Training and Coaching (approx. 35%)

  • Deliver management and entrepreneurship training sessions to beneficiaries, following the MSE methodology.
  • Conduct follow-up visits and individual coaching in the field, during and after the training.
  • Contribute to adapting and improving training content, in collaboration with the Senior Trainer.
  • Take part in team knowledge-sharing and practice-exchange sessions.

3. Administration, Data and Reporting (approx. 25%)

  • Prepare contracts (consultants, service providers) and follow up on project administrative documents and supporting records.
  • Enter data and run quality checks on beneficiary records in the project database (Salesforce or other tool).
  • Collect monitoring indicators and provide the Project Manager with the data needed for quarterly and donor reports.
  • Feed project communication with field insights: testimonials, case studies, success stories.
