➔ Description of the mission

Job Summary

The Research Associate (RA) leads the data collection and management of the Investment Fraud survey The RA will supervise project field staff, including the field managers and enumerators, while ensuring timely submission of deliverables to donors and partners.

Responsibilities

Field Management

  • Oversees the online data collection
  • Directly supervises field staff and manages project finances

Technical Leadership

  • Serves as the technical lead for the program implementation, ensuring that monitoring and data collection tools are working properly.
  • Closely monitors compliance to research design, research protocols, and data security standards.

Partner Management

  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with external partners, PIs, and the internal team.

➔ Profile

Qualifications

  • 2 years of project management experience
  • Extensive experience supervising data collection, teams of field workers, and survey design and implementation
  • Extensive experience conducting social science or economic field research
  • Cultural sensitivity and demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse constituencies
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and complete fluency in English
  • Advanced experience and skills in Stata or R, and SurveyCTO, or ODK
  • Master’s degree in economics, public policy, social science, or a related field
  • Background in randomized control trials
  • Experience in building capacity on technical matters
