Description of the mission

Scope of Work

The Creatives and New Media Lead will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Based on The Climate Reality Project brand, design, execute, and revise the materials such as, but not limited to web pages, social media postcards, event materials, newsletters, blogs, news articles, press releases, research studies, policy reports, factsheets, brochures, presentations, training documents, etc. of the organization and the Climate Reality Leader network as needed;
  • Closely work with the Communications Lead in the development and implementation of an effective and inclusive Communications Strategy, including, but not limited to creatives, digital communications, and media planning and buying;
  • Design the graphics and develop a user-friendly architecture of the organization’s website, and maintain cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility so that the website is accessible from a variety of different and electronic devices;
  • Develop and regularly update a Social Media Guidebook, including a style guide, in alignment with The Climate Reality Project brand, for the organization;
  • Develop and maintain all social media and internal platforms including creation of regular, quality, and timely contents on the organization’s national and regional strategic objectives, programs and activities; and reposting of contents from all the organization’s social media and internal accounts;
  • Monitor, record, review, and analyze analytics, queries, feedbacks, comments, and conversations on all of the organization’s social media platforms to identify insights, emerging trends, and opportunities for outreach, engagement, and partnership. Provide monthly reports on the effectiveness and influence of all social media platforms for reaching and engaging target audiences;
  • Respond to all inquiries and comments posted on all the organization’s social media platforms. Conduct an inventory and assessment of existing followers, networks, contents, inquiries and comments pending responses. For complex and sensitive inquiries and issues posted in social media sites, recommend responses and approaches in coordination with the Branch Manager and the Communications Team;
  • Organize and maintain an image and video library, and archives of all knowledge products of organization, including all materials developed for online and traditional publication; Provide support to the Program Lead/s in the implementation of activities, including creatives and new media planning, documentation and technical assistance related to the role;
  • Lead and supervise the performance of the Creatives and New Media Officer and/or regional counterparts; and initiate knowledge sharing and mentoring sessions; and
  • The scope of work outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing. Other duties and responsibilities may be required and/or assigned as necessary based on organizational needs.

Profile

Qualifications and Experience

The Creatives and New Media Lead will have the following education, professional experience, skills and knowledge:

  • Graduate of a relevant discipline (e.g., Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia Arts, Communications, Marketing or a related field);
  • Minimum of six (6) years’ extensive professional experience with national and/or local government units, civil society organizations and international organizations in the field of creatives and new media, graphics, design, and multimedia arts;
  • Strong working knowledge on issues and actions in the areas of climate change, sustainable energy and mobility, circular economy, and climate diplomacy and finance, just transition in the Philippines and the Asian region;
  • Work experience with multiple stakeholders from national and international organizations, governments, academe, private industries, civil society organizations, and grassroot communities;
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Filipino;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work under pressure and to establish and maintain eftective r work relationships with people of ditterent with backgrounds;
  • Minimum of (2) years experience leading and working effectively with people from diverse professional and/or cultural backgrounds; and
  • Maturity and professional ability to handle sensitive information and ability to respect the confidentiality of such information while working with the organization and ICSC even after the contract ends.
