Responsibilities

  • Program Development and Design
  • Research emerging social issues and development priorities
  • Propose impactful development programs at national and meso levels
  • Design and test strategic development frameworks tailored to diverse development contexts
  • Project Management and Implementation
  • Plan comprehensive projects with timelines, budgets and staffing
  • Foster relationships with government officials, stakeholders and partners
  • Oversee programs to ensure alignment and results
  • Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
  • Develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks
  • Analyze program data to assess impact, identify areas for improvement, and inform future initiatives
  • Supporting Other Units
  • Support other USA units in program design, implementation and logistics as needed
  • Assist in facilitating strategic planning sessions and workshops
  • Contribute to the development of high-quality documentation for ELU and ISA activities
Profile

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any field but a social science-related is an advantage
  • Entry level role or up to 1 year of experience in strategic or development planning or project management
  • Experience in planning, marketing, executing and evaluating programs and events is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Understanding of development planning and its practical use
  • Awareness of meso- and macro-level social issues with solution-oriented thinking
  • Knowledge of participatory development, project management, and evaluation
  • Skilled in data analysis and report writing
  • Professional in stakeholder engagement, able to work independently and in teams
  • Passionate about social impact and good governance
