We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with at least 5 years of experience in maintaining 100% accuracy in bookkeeping, applying accounting best practices, and proactively identifying risks and opportunities.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

100% Bookkeeping Accuracy: Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail in recording all financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate financial records
Expert Knowledge of Accounting Best Practices: Well-versed in GAAP/IFRS standards, tax laws, and financial regulations, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards
Risk Identification & Mitigation: Proactively identifies and communicates potential financial risks and red flags, implementing controls and suggesting strategic improvements
Opportunities Identification: Analyzes financial data to uncover opportunities for cost savings, revenue growth, or operational improvements
Process Improvement Mindset: Continuously seeks to enhance accounting processes through automation, system improvements, and workflow optimization to increase efficiency and accuracy
Hands-on Approach: Willingness to perform day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and hands-on tasks

Requirements:

At least 5 years experience in ensuring 100% bookkeeping accuracy and timely financial reporting
Experience in implementing accounting process improvements, resulting in financial and/or non-financial benefits for the organization
Led month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards.
Collaborated with cross-functional teams to share financial insights and timely updates
Proficient in (any) accounting software and spreadsheets
With previous startup experience is an advantage
CPA or equivalent certification is a plus
