➔ Description of the mission

About this role

This internship offers an exciting opportunity to join JADE Dialogues in shaping high-level, cross-sector conversations that influence Asia Pacific’s clean energy future. As a core member of the Strategic Initiatives (SI) unit, you will engage with leading figures from the public and private sectors under the guidance of two Strategic Initiative Managers, who curate discussions for policymakers and private capital leaders.

This six-month internship is critical to dialogue and event curation, contributing directly to JADE’s mission of translating strategic conversations into actionable impact. The intern will conduct research on trends and current developments in APAC’s energy transition across power, industrial decarbonization, and transport sectors, while supporting the organization of high-quality dialogues with expert partners and event vendors.

Responsibilities include:

Dialogue and Event Support- 50%

Support the Strategic Initiatives Manager(s) on Event Organization

  • Support Strategic Initiatives Managers in planning and executing high-quality events, including logistics, liaison with event vendors, coordination with local hosts, and communication with high-level attendees.
  • Coordinate agendas, documentation, and event materials with internal SI teams, expert partners, and vendors.
  • Assist in preparing attendance briefs, post-dialogue summaries, and readouts.
  • Support SI Managers in tracking event expenses.
  • Ensure effective communication with partners and stakeholders.

Stakeholder and Partnership Communication & Coordination

  • Support communication with partners and institutional collaborators.
  • Maintain and update the stakeholder database (JADE CRM), invitations, and follow-ups.
  • Help ensure high-touch engagement and professional correspondence before and after events.

Research & Analysis - 40%

Support with identifying the trends and currents affairs of the market

  • Conduct background research and analysis on APAC energy transition trends in power, industry decarbonization, and transport sectors.
  • Prepare concise briefs and background notes for SI Managers, partners, and dialogue audiences.
  • Monitor regional policy developments, investment flows, and relevant geopolitical or economic shifts.
  • Suggest ideas and, in collaboration with SI Managers, support development of dialogue topics and content.

Administrative and Strategic Support - 10%

Provide general administrative and organizational support to the SI unit

  • Contribute to cross-Strategic Initiatives projects, internal coordination, and learning activities.
  • Assist in documenting processes and improving project management workflows.
  • Oversee the company’s general inquiry mailbox and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure prompt and accurate communication.

Qualifications and experience

Essential

  • No more than 3 years since completing a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, energy policy, environmental studies, political science, sustainability, or a related field.
  • Strong interest and curiosity in energy transition, sustainable economic development, and clean investment trends across APAC.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and able to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Adaptable and flexible, comfortable in a dynamic, rapidly evolving organization.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with ability to synthesize complex information into concise briefs.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Comfortable traveling domestically or internationally when required.

Desired

  • 1–3 years of professional experience (including internships), preferably in government/public offices, private finance institutions, consulting or policy research institutions.
  • Experience executing events for high-level stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or managing large datasets.
  • Understanding of sustainable finance, ESG products, impact investing frameworks, or APAC energy policy.

Personal attributes

  • Enthusiasm for working in a mission-driven, high-impact environment.
  • Commitment to JADE’s mission: energy transition and economic development.
  • Fluency in English and at least one major Asian language, additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, demonstrating credibility, reliability, and sound judgment.
