Role Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced partnership and community relations assistant manager to support Jia Ying Active Ageing Centre in reaching out to potential donors, corporate partners and volunteers to help, heal and honour seniors and their families in our community. to lead our internal and external communications efforts.

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in fundraising within a non-profit environment, particularly in an active aging centre.

This role is crucial in enhancing our organization's visibility, reputation, and fundraising capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

(1) Communication & Engagement Strategy:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to promote the organization's mission and programs.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
  • Partnering corporations, volunteers and community

(2) Fundraising:

  • Plan, execute, and manage fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners.
  • Prepare grant proposals and fundraising reports.

(3) Public Relations:

  • Work with management for media relations, including drafting press releases and coordinating media outreach.
  • Organize and oversee publicity events to enhance the organization's public profile.

(4) Content Creation:

  • Create and distribute engaging content, including newsletters, annual reports, social media posts, and website updates.
  • Oversee the production of marketing materials and publications.

(5) Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community partners, volunteers, and beneficiaries.
  • Act as the primary spokesperson for the organization.

(6) Crisis Management:

  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans.
  • Handle communication-related issues promptly and effectively.
Profile

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in fundraising activities within a non-profit organization.
  • Proven track record of successful fundraising campaigns and donor management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the active aging sector.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and best practices in non-profit fundraising.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
