Entrepreneurship in the territories: is it the right time?

The Role
We're looking for a hungry, relationship-driven Director of Business Development to own and grow K2's partner network across the full energy infrastructure spectrum. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role reporting directly to the CEO. You'll be the connective tissue between K2's land pipeline and the developers, IPPs, data center operators, and energy infrastructure companies who need it. This is not a maintenance role. You'll be opening new doors, building relationships from scratch, and converting conversations into signed partnerships while also nurturing and expanding select existing accounts.
What You'll Do
Drive outbound prospecting across solar, BESS, gas, and data center developers. Manage and grow inbound partner relationships across all active U.S. energy infrastructure markets. Represent K2 at conferences and client meetings. Translate K2's land origination capabilities into compelling value propositions for each partner type from renewable IPPs to hyperscale data center operators. Move deals from first conversation to executed agreement. Maintain a disciplined pipeline using K2's CRM.
Who You Are
Deep fluency in energy infrastructure, interconnection, land, ISO markets, gas, and what it takes to get projects across the finish line. A natural relationship-builder who leads with credibility and follows through. Comfortable across IPPs, independent developers, gas developers, data center operators, and capital partners. Existing relationships are a plus, but hustle and market knowledge matter more. You thrive in lean, fast-moving environments and own your outcomes. Willing to travel when the opportunity calls.
