Founded and formed on 11th December 2013, Kloth Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., also known as Kloth Circularity, is a Malaysian social enterprise that aspires to become the catalyst of textiles, clothing and plastics circular economy. In order to combat climate change and its impact, Kloth Circularity is aligned with the Kloth 5R philosophy of the circular economy, “Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle”.

Profile

As the Product Development and Operations Executive, you will be instrumental in driving our product innovation and ensuring efficient operations. This is a strategic role that combines product development, client engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. Your efforts will directly shape the offerings under our brands, including Kloth Textiles, Kloth Wear, and Kloth Woman Up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Innovation: Identify and propose innovative product ideas tailored for B2G, B2B and B2C customers across our brands. This includes assessing market needs and aligning with our sustainability goals.
  • Proposal Development: Understand prospective customers and stakeholders brief and prepare comprehensive product proposals accordingly.
  • Product Sampling & Development: Oversee the product sampling process from ideation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Customer & Stakeholders Management: Coordinate with customers and supply chain partners and stakeholders, and ensure a smooth, customer-centric process with regular updates on production progress and delivery schedules.
  • Production Oversight: Collaborate with suppliers and seamstresses, including skilled women from marginalised communities, to manage all aspects of production, ensuring timely order delivery while upholding the highest quality standards.
  • Product Inventory & Fulfilment: Monitor sales from Kloth’s online store and efficiently fulfil product orders. This includes regular restocking of products for both B2C sales and Kloth’s online store.
  • Upcycling Workshop Support: Assist in setting up and executing upcycling workshops, coordinating materials and guiding participants as needed.
  • Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing and communications team on campaigns across Kloth Textiles, Kloth Wear, and Kloth Woman Up, contributing to brand growth and sales.
  • On-ground Support for Corporate Events (Ad Hoc Basis): Provide on-site support for corporate events, handling setup, managing booths, and assisting customers.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in fashion design, textiles, or a related field.
  • Sustainability Passion: Deep commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, with a thorough understanding of sustainable practices and principles in business.
  • Collaboration Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across various customers and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards in all aspects of work.
  • Transportation: It is compulsory for candidates to have their own transportation to facilitate travel to suppliers, stakeholders, and events as needed.
