Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site position based in MMHA's Petaling Jaya branch.

The role involves developing and implementing a Supported Employment Programme to support individuals with mental health conditions in preparing for, obtaining, and sustaining meaningful employment. The successful candidate will work closely with participants, caregivers, the rehabilitation team, employers, and community organisations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate, and continuously improve the Supported Employment Programme.
  • Conduct vocational assessments and develop individual employment plans with participants.
  • Support participants with work readiness, career exploration, job searching, resume preparation, interview skills, and job matching.
  • Build partnerships with employers and organisations to create inclusive employment opportunities.
  • Provide job coaching and follow-up support to participants and employers.
  • Maintain relevant documentation and monitor participant progress and employment outcomes.
  • Carry out administrative and other duties as required.

Profile

Qualifications:

  • Possess a degree in Occupational Therapy or relevant experience in Supported Employment.
  • Experience in vocational rehabilitation, psychosocial rehabilitation, or working with individuals with mental health conditions will be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Empathetic, patient, adaptable, and committed to supporting individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with participants, caregivers, colleagues, employers, and external organisations.
  • Multilingual abilities, particularly in Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin, will be an advantage.
