Job Purpose / Role

This role is a generalist Communications role with a local coordination and liaison function for local Marketing and Communications activities. The role is responsible for internal communications across AGCS Asia Pacific and supports in the implementation and delivery of marketing activities and events across the Region to raise AGCS brand profile amongst clients and external stakeholders. As a member of the Global Communications team, the role also includes active participation in a range of other communications-related tasks, alongside the role's primary responsibilities, including liaison with Communications teams in other AGCS locations (London, New York/Chicago, Paris, Singapore, and Munich)

Key Responsibilities

Internal Communications Across AZC from a Local Perspective

  • Direct responsibility for coordination, management, support, and delivery of internal communications activities across AZC, individually or in coordination with other team members (local and global), such as: news/announcements, CEO/Board, strategy and management & leadership communications, Intranet (primary responsibility for this is with the Digital Communications Officer position in Munich).
  • Support Global Update (quarterly CEO Newsletter), briefing notes and other newsletters as required.
  • Copywriting and drafting communications, including Letters of Commendation (CEO recognition letters).

Multi-media and Social media Content Creation

  • Creating new and editing videos and social media content for internal and external use.
  • Logistical support in hosting webinars and online events with WebEx, Pigeonhole, and other online platforms.

External Communications Across AZC

  • Development and support of Websites (primary responsibility for the AZC main website is with the Digital Communications Officer position in Munich),
  • Global Risk Dialogue - supporting Publications Editor in planning and production of the AZC client magazine,
  • AZC publications and features - support Publications Editor in planning and production of expert content pieces, e.g., white papers, market studies, reports, fact sheets etc.,
  • Pay-per-click advertising - planning, liaison with agency, purchasing and monitoring (joint responsibility with Market Management and Communications Assistant in Munich).

Advertising, Brand management and Event Management

  • Creation of banners and corporate standees, localization, and placement of advertisements in media publications both online and print, creation of digital advertisements/banners for online sponsorship, coordination, organization and rollout of activities within AZC Asia Pacific around AZC/Allianz global sponsorship assets (Olympics, football, drone league etc) and support on the development of collaterals, brochures, newsletters, agency co-ordination.
  • Draft large client wins, support in editing content of client newsletters, drafting of client covering letters for publications.
  • Other key projects include:
  • Launch events, sponsorship activity at conferences, planning and advisory with LoB heads/Country CEOs on opportunities for client events and technical seminars.
  • Topic discussions and preparation of talking points, slide decks and other material.
  • Coordination of logistics for all events - invitations, RSVP, catering, venue selection, production of customized corporate gifts, sponsored booth activities and liaison with all third-party suppliers.

General Communication Activities

  • Alongside the above responsibilities, the role will also support and contribute to Local Marketing and Communications team activities, including scheduled activities and ad hoc projects, such as change communications, digital communications (incl. Social Media) and media relations.

Local Liaison

  • Regular liaison and close working relationships will be needed with the Communications team and other stakeholders in all AZC locations.
Profile

Required Experience

Key Experience / Requirements / Skills:

  • Strong communications track record with a practical focus on applied internal or change communications.
  • Services or B2B background preferred - experience of insurance not essential, although in Allianz Group or OE communications environment would be strongly beneficial.
  • Experience of working internationally and of remotely global teams across numerous locations
  • Demonstrable experience of how to deal with the media and other stakeholders.
  • Marketing communications experience.

Required Education

  • Degree in Journalism, communications or law with business or work experience in field of expertise.
  • Open to fresh graduates.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of theoretical and operational principles and techniques of internal communications including in change environments.
  • Journalistic skills to include copywriting, information research and analysis, storytelling, ability to work accurately to tight deadlines.
  • Strategic orientation and understanding of commercial business environment, to support communication of AGCS/Allianz strategy.
  • Competence with MS Word and PowerPoint and MS Excel and video and multimedia creation software. Use of Photoshop and InDesign and handling of online Content Management tools (intranet/website/social media).

Languages

  • Fluent in English.
  • Multilingual or fluency in local language is a plus.
