1. Study the history, mission, vision, values ​​and core activities of the organization and be able to articulate this information clearly and accurately to stakeholders

2. Search for new funding streams with partnership priorities that align with the NLCF's core mission

3. Initiate contact with various funding streams and pursue ongoing communication

4. Develop long-term relationships with current and potential donors through communication, and engagement activities.

5. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, board members, volunteers, alumni, community organizations, and NLCF network partners

6. Write grant proposals

7. Prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence, and other documents as necessary

8. Update and manage areas of the NLCF website that pertain to fundraising and donor participation

9. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Profile

The ideal applicant will

1. Be a Christian believer who lives in accordance with ethical standards of Christian faith

2. Hold at least a bachelor's degree in a related field

3. Demonstrate past success in fundraising and building strategic relationships with current and potential donors

4. Exhibit competence in writing project proposals and grant reports

5. Be able to speak, read, write and understand fluent English

6. Demonstrate competency in using a computer, and employing information technology systems to analyze and present data, and implement marketing strategies

7. Have strong public relations and communication skills

8. Demonstrate leadership qualities

9. Have excellent interpersonal and human relations skills, and enjoy interacting with constituents

10. Be able to adapt to new situations and challenges

11. Work collaboratively with the NLCF staff team

12. Be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule
