Job Description

The Country Director Assistant will play a crucial role in overseeing the continuity of routine business and program operations while supporting the Country Director in various tasks. This position requires a proactive individual who can identify potential issues and provide recommendations or creative solutions. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment.

This position reports to the Country Director/ Regional Director.

Please note: This role is temporary coverage for a period 3-6 months with possibility of extension based on needs.

Key Responsibilities/ Core Competencies

  • Oversee the continuity of routine program, business, and office operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining program documentation, reports, and presentations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain program data and metrics to support decision-making and reporting requirements.
  • High level of to detail needed and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify potential issues that require attention at the Country Director level and provide informed recommendations or creative solutions.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between various program stakeholders, including team members, partners, and beneficiaries, to ensure smooth program implementation.
  • Support logistical arrangements for activities, workshops, training sessions, and community events, ensuring all resources and materials are available.
  • Assist in tracking program budgets and expenditures, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Participate in program monitoring and evaluation activities, assisting with data collection and analysis to measure program impact and effectiveness.
  • Ensure that program activities comply with organizational policies, donor requirements, and local regulations, maintaining high-quality standards throughout.
  • Provide continuity for the Country Director by assisting in meetings and various tasks, ensuring efficient communication and execution.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and a task-oriented approach.
  • Adaptability can handle changes and unexpected situations with ease in a fast paced and dynamic setting.
  • Highly developed Interpersonal skills to enable positive interactions with diverse teams and external partners and participate in public speaking engagements.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality while working collaboratively in a team dynamic.
  • Utilize fluency in both English and Thai to convey important or nuanced information clearly and accurately.
Profile

Preferred Experience /Qualifications

  • Degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in communicating with officials in senior positions or at government departments.
  • Familiarity with working with children, particularly in activities related to prevention of Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA).
  • Experience or understanding of anti-human trafficking initiatives and related issues.
  • Experience working with international or national NGO’s.
