About the role

We’re looking for a Junior Flutter Developer to join our team in Q1 2025 for a 6-week full-time stint (40 hours/week). We can also accommodate a part-time commitment (20 hours/week) for 12 weeks. The project length is negotiable depending on your capacity and the evolving needs of the project. This is a remote role with flexible scheduling to accommodate different time zones. You’ll gain valuable experience in mobile application development using Flutter.

Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Flutter Developer, your main responsibility is to develop and implement the front-end of our mobile application using the Flutter framework. Throughout the project, you will:

  • Collaborate with the UI/UX designer to integrate user-friendly and culturally attentive designs into the application.
  • Ensure code quality and maintainability by adhering to best practices in Flutter development.
  • Integrate third-party and serverless REST APIs to user interfaces.
  • Participate in code reviews and testing, ensuring that the application meets performance and quality standards.

Expectations and Deliverables

At the end of your contract, you should have:

  • Developed the front-end interface of the mobile application. This means implementing all core user flows as specified in the design documents, ensuring responsiveness and usability.
  • Collaborated effectively with the design team. This includes ensuring that the implemented designs align with the provided design specifications for the Figma prototypes.
  • Organized and maintained a well-documented source code. You should have structured your code to facilitate easy handoff and future maintenance by other developers.
