PATH is a global nonprofit dedicated to achieving health equity. With more than 40 years of experience forging multisector partnerships and with expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy, and dozens of other specialties, PATH develops and scales up innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing heath challenges.
PATH has been working in Indonesia to support its global and public health objectives. We are also supporting Indonesia Ministry of Health’s (MoH) transformation program and expanding operations to contribute more to the transformation of Primary Services, Referral Services, Health Resilience Systems, Health Financing Systems, Health Human Resources, and Health Technology. We are strengthening our presence and work in Indonesia and would like to appoint a Country Coordinator to take this work forward.
The Country Coordinator will liaise with the Government of Indonesia and other partners to advance PATH’s technical, advisory and programmatic services. S/He will be responsible for building and maintaining diverse and sustainable donor and project portfolios and for quality execution of solutions and projects across all of PATH’s platforms ensuring scientific integrity. S/he will represent PATH locally and internationally and elevate our standing as the leading NGO in global health innovation. The Country Coordinator will report to the Chief of AMEE and work closely with the Hub Director of Southeast Asia Office.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership
- Partnering with peers across the organization to ensure programmatic and scientific integrity and programmatic excellence through collaboration.
- Ensuring PATH programs in Indonesia are designed and implemented with state-of-the-art scientific rigor and excellence.
- Anticipating, understanding, and responding to scientific, regulatory and policy trends in Indonesia to ensure PATH’s leadership in the innovation and project implementation spaces
- Connecting and understanding global health trends with an understanding of Indonesia regions’ public health landscape and trends to develop new business streams and to make programmatic decisions.
- Liaise with Indonesia program teams to design program objectives, key interventions and evaluation strategies which are clear, measurable, and consistent with PATH policies and mission; provide backstopping and mentorship as required.
Business Leadership
- Serve as PATH’s legal country representative for the Indonesia program.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Governments, donors, private sector, and industry donors, as well as with other NGOs and UN agencies, to execute on PATH’s programmatic objectives.
- Identify opportunities for development of PATH programs, working in close collaboration with PATH headquarters and AMEE fundraising and business development teams and specific program teams.
- Ensure project goals and objectives are achieved within established budgets and fulfill PATH’s agreements with donors.
- Provide oversight and ensure donor compliance through the monitoring and evaluation of all projects in Indonesia.
- Use external communications to strategically raise PATH’s local profile and position PATH as an NGO of choice in Indonesia.
- In conjunction with PATH Leadership, effectively manage crises and conflicts.
People and Operations Leadership
- Providing leadership to all Indonesia staff by engaging in effective change management, frequent communication, and fostering the professional development of country staff
- Modeling an open and inclusive leadership style by encouraging contributions, feedback, and participation by all employees
- Modeling accountability and professionalism in all interactions, internally as well as externally
- Overseeing and ensuring the development and implementation of effective work planning and management systems, including management of staff Level of Effort, result in effective and efficient programs and projects.
- Ensuring that all aspects of PATH’s operations comply with PATH policies and local laws.
