Why this role

As PeopleStories enters its next stage of growth, we are strengthening our Board to build a sustainable funding engine that can support greater impact. We are recruiting an Accelerator Board Member – Philanthropy and Partnerships to lead this work. Ideally, you would have a strong network in Hong Kong, Greater China or Australia.

Purpose of the role

To lead the creation of PeopleStories’ Philanthropy & Partnerships Strategy and build the capability to deliver it—helping move from ad hoc funding toward a consistent and sustainable funding engine.

Key responsibilities

🌟 Lead the development of the Philanthropy & Partnerships Strategy (including priorities, target segments, pipeline, stewardship cadence, and a practical 12- month plan)

🌟 Be hands-on and ready to roll your sleeves up! Lead a small Fundraising & Partnerships Committee to drive momentum between Accelerator Board meetings

🌟 Support and coach the CEO/Founder in donor and partner conversations

🌟 Strengthen the funding narrative and case for support

🌟 Open doors through introductions and relationship strategy across major donors, foundations and partnerships

🌟 Contribute to governance and Board effectiveness with a risk-aware, compliant mindset

Profile

Who we’re looking for

We welcome expressions of interest from individuals with:

🌟 demonstrated experience in major gifts, philanthropy, foundations and/or

partnerships fundraising

🌟 the ability to build a practical strategy + pipeline (not just advise)

🌟 strong relationship skills and credibility with donors/partners

🌟 comfort supporting a growth-stage, founder-led organisation with clear boundaries and shared accountability
