Description of the mission

Pollinate Impact is a member-led network of impact incubatorsⓘ in the Global South. By bringing the incubationⓘcommunity together, we are amplifying and unifying their voices and centring them within the broader impact ecosystem narrative to drive more support for the impact entrepreneurship field.

We believe that storytelling can inspire meaningful action, and we are seeking a Marketing Communications Manager (aka, our Network Storyteller!) to help us tell ours.

As our Network Storyteller, you will be our storyteller and brand champion for Pollinate Impact. Your primary goal will be to craft and disseminate compelling narratives that articulate our vision and values, showcase our work, and mobilise diverse stakeholders to engage with our network.

You will be instrumental in amplifying our network’s voice and member successes to affect our mission of industry transformation. This role requires a unique blend of creativity, detail-oriented thinking, strategic thinking, and a passion for our mission, while being a digitally savvy communicator who can own the end-to-end execution of our communications activities.

Profile

This position is perfect for you if:

  • You can weave a consistent brand story across all our communication channels, ensuring that every piece of content reinforces our brand identity, mission and values.
  • You have a good understanding of digital and social platforms, emerging social technologies/platforms, and internet trends and culture, and you understand how communication approaches vary across geographies, cultures, and contexts – particularly in sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
  • The ability to plan, create, and distribute valuable and relevant content is crucial. This includes everything from our blog posts to editing our industry reports, copy for our videos, and social media updates, all to ensure we attract and engage our niche target audience.
  • You’re very well-organised. You are detail-oriented and have excellent organisational skills. Nothing falls through the cracks with your leadership.
  • Overseeing the visual and verbal identity of Pollinate Impact. Guiding our design firm to produce marketing materials that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also aligned with our brand’s tone and message.
  • You’re very curious. Giving you the ability to identify patterns and opportunities, and strategically align them with communication strategies.
