POSITION SUMMARY:

Rainforest Alliance is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to drive engagement with key corporate partners across the SEA region, with a strong focus on Indonesia.

The Relationship Manager will develop and grow relationships with major corporate partners in the region, handle strategic key accounts, position Rainforest Alliance as a sustainability parter in the market, and contribute to Rainforest Alliance’s global impact strategy. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Bahasa and English, but other SEA languages would be a benefit.

The role requires deep knowledge of the agribusiness sector, particularly coffee, cocoa, tea and other key commodities. Our key accounts are mostly food and beverage companies who work with Rainforest Alliance to assess and address their sustainability risks, delivering impact to farmers and ecosystems, whilst providing branding, data and risk-mitigation benefits to our corporate partners.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Handle and grow key corporate accounts across Indonesia and SEA region, ensuring year-on-year revenue growth and long-term impact.
  • Develop and implement a revenue strategy for existing strategic key accounts and new business opportunities in SEA.
  • Act as Rainforest Alliance’s main representative for partners in the region, ensuring smooth collaboration and strategic alignment.
  • Establish and nurture relationships at local, national, and corporate levels, engaging with executives, sustainability leaders, and procurement teams.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements that align with partner needs while advancing Rainforest Alliance’s mission.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., global programs, technical experts, legal, marketing) to deliver value-added solutions to corporate partners.
  • Develop a deep understanding of partner sustainability strategies, finding opportunities for collaboration and impact.
  • Establish performance goals and regularly track and measure performance using CRM tools, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, certification requirements, and market dynamics to proactively adapt strategies.
  • Represent Rainforest Alliance at key industry events, forums, and business meetings across SEA.
  • Travel within Indonesia and internationally (up to 20% of the time) to engage with corporate partners and attend relevant events.

Profile

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, sustainability, international relations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability (6-8 years) in corporate partnerships, key account management, corporate sustainability, or supply chain engagement, preferably in the agribusiness sector.
  • Fluent in Bahasa and English, but other SEA languages would be a benefit.
  • Confirmed ability to grow and handle strategic accounts, with experience in contract negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and corporate partnership development.
  • Deep knowledge of SEA markets, particularly Indonesia, with an understanding of sustainability, ESG investment, and certification processes.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with CRM and account management systems preferred.
  • Ability to travel across SEA region (up to 20% of the time).
