Description of the mission

Role Description

We are hiring a full-time Business Development Associate with a background in agritechnology or related fields to support business development, partnerships, and client engagements for our climate and carbon solutions. We are looking for someone with 1-3 years experience in agritech or climate tech, who is interested in joining a commercial role.

This role sits at the intersection of technical knowledge and commercial execution. You will work closely with the team to translate complex climate, carbon, and sustainability concepts into clear value propositions for buyers, partners, and stakeholders.

This is a full-time remote role (candidate must be based in Kuala Lumpur, as you may be required to attend in-person meetings, events, or site visits when needed).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support lead generation, outreach, and follow-ups with potential clients and partners.
  • Participate in client and partner calls to explain technical concepts related to carbon removal, biochar, MRV, and other climate technologies.
  • Prepare and update pitch decks, proposals, and other commercial materials as needed.
  • Translate project-level technical details into client-ready narratives and offerings.
  • Coordinate with technical and operations teams to align commercial discussions with project realities.
  • Track leads, conversations, and deal progress using internal tools.
  • Attend external meetings, industry events, and site visits as required to support business development.

Profile

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in agritechnology
  • Fresh graduates who are able to demonstrate connections or experience in the agricultural sector are welcome to apply.
  • Have a deep interest in advancing climate technology and sustainable solutions.
  • Comfortable engaging with technical documents and asking critical questions.
  • Ability to explain scientific or technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive, organised, and willing to learn client-facing and sales skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Strong written and spoken English (Additional languages are a plus!)
  • Familiarity with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint tools.
