Roots of Health /Ugat ng Kalusugan is a nonprofit organization focused on improving the health of women and girls, and their communities, in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. The organization’s primary objective is to empower women and young people to live healthy reproductive lives in Palawan. It aims to improve women’s reproductive health and decrease the number of unplanned pregnancies and HIV incidence by providing sexuality health education and access to modern contraceptives through its clinical services program. The activities are guided by the international human rights framework, which includes a core belief that health is a human right, and activities are carried out using a community-based approach.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Finance Director provides strategic leadership in financial planning and compliance. This role ensures financial integrity, risk management, and long-term sustainability while aligning financial strategies with organizational goals. Key responsibilities include overseeing financial governance, investment strategies, and budget management, ensuring compliance with donor and regulatory requirements, and strengthening internal controls. The Finance Director also contributes to grant proposal design, assesses financial performance against budgets and long-term plans, and optimizes the use of unrestricted funds.
This is a full-time position with a two-month probation period. Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits include PhilHealth, SSS, Pagibig, HMO coverage, 10 paid vacation days, 10 paid sick leave days, 5 days paid leave for Holy Week, and 10 days paid leave between Christmas and New Year.
