- Actively scout and evaluate new sources of seaweed, identifying potential partners among local farmers and wild harvesters.
- Assess supplier capability based on strict quality standards, production capacity, and regulatory compliance to ensure a scalable supply base.
2. Commercial Negotiation & Contracting
- Lead high-level negotiations for pricing and payment terms.
- Design and implement cost-saving frameworks, specifically utilizing cost-plus or volume-based pricing models to ensure financial efficiency while maintaining supplier loyalty.
- Draft and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that protect the company’s interests.
3. Quality Assurance & Control
- Serve as the gatekeeper of quality. Establish and enforce rigorous inspection protocols at the point of collection.
- Monitor critical parameters including debris levels, moisture content, and contamination risks to ensure only premium biomass enters our production stream.
4. End-to-End Logistics Coordination
- Orchestrate the movement of goods from remote collection points to processing plants.
- Manage export coordination and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant for cross-border movements.
5. Community Partnership & SRM
- Build more than just vendor lists; build relationships. Cultivate long-term partnerships with coastal communities and agricultural cooperatives.
- Drive supplier engagement initiatives to ensure a consistent, year-round supply despite seasonal variations.
