Job Description

  • To support in the Tinkle Friend helpline and chatline to provide support to ensure children’s
  • safety and promote well-being.
  • To co-develop, design, plan, facilitate, monitor, evaluate and review services to address children’s related concerns (i.e bullying, protective behaviours, resilience, anger management, etc)
  • To support in building children’s mental wellness (e.g building resilience, supporting them to regulate their emotions, equipping them with protective behaviours, building their pro-social skills) and other emerging needs (e.g bullying) through programme development and facilitating groupwork and workshops for children.
  • Implement individual and group intervention plans and monitor progress
  • Review effectiveness of intervention for children, caregiver and/or parents
  • Maintain up to date case documentation
  • To work collaboratively with child’s support networks-parents, educators and community partners to address the needs
  • Conduct risk assessment, safety planning and implement safety plans as appropriate.
  • To support identified children-in-risk through casework & counselling
  • Broker with agencies and make service referrals, when required
  • Work closely with Research Department to develop/refine evaluation tools for group work interventions
Profile

Requirements

  • Degree in social work/counselling/psychology or in related discipline or Post graduate diploma in social work.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with children (7-12 years old) and parents in counselling, casework, programme development or group work. Experience working with volunteers
  • Programme development
  • Case work and counselling skills
  • Strong group work facilitation skills
  • Good written and oral communication
  • Trained in SSSG
  • Trauma-informed
  • Able to provide psychological first aid
  • Possess knowledge of the social service and school landscape/resources
  • Ability to do basic research and evaluation
  • Able to conduct environmental scans and assess community needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Strong engagement skills with various stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Experienced in creative engagements for social service programmes
  • High levels of initiative
