We seek a self-motivated and results-driven General Manager to direct and manage SAPSE's business activities and develop and implement effective business strategies and programs. Duties of the General Manager will include allocating budget resources, implementing policies, coordinating business operations, monitoring and motivating staff, managing operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes, engaging with customers/clients/funders/merchants/community partners, overseeing hiring and training of employees, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities. Your entrepreneurial spirit and vision in directing business functions will assist our organization in maintaining relationships with customers/clients/funders/merchants/community partners, generating new business, increasing staff productivity, improving service, ensuring sustainability, and meeting business objectives.

The successful candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, superior knowledge of business functions, exceptional budgeting and finance skills, and strong leadership qualities. The General Manager should account for all business activities, support staff development, enhance efficiency, drive sales and improve revenue, maintain relationships with customers, clients, funders, merchants, and community partners, enhance the organization's image, and meet overall growth objectives.

General Manager Responsibilities:

Overall Responsibilities

● Overseeing daily business operations.

● Developing and implementing growth strategies.

● Training low-level managers and staff.

● Creating and managing budgets.

● Improving revenue.

● Hiring employees.

● Evaluating performance and productivity.

● Analyzing accounting and financial data.

● Researching and identifying growth opportunities.

● Generating reports and giving presentations.

● Oversee day-to-day operations, assign weekly performance goals and ensure their completion, and accomplish your goals.

● Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve organizational objectives.

● Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively

● Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans

● Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values

● Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved

A. Administration of SAPSE Members and Fellows

● Organize specific Different Organizational Components action of SAPSE Members and FellowsSAPSE members and fellows (project updates, newsletter, etc.)

● Overall project management of specific programs (will hire project supervisors as projects become bigger)

B. SAPSE Consulting Component

● Coordinate with partners, clients, and members

● Coordinate with SAPSE consultants

● Generate and present project reports

● Conduct fieldwork as needed (partner/client/community visits)

C. Sinag Sari-Sari and Retail Component (SE’s Link-to-Market Component)

● Oversee retail operations

● Conduct fieldwork as needed (store visits)

● Merchant Recruitment (in coordination with SEARCH?)

D. National Social Enterprise Development Roadmap

● Oversee SAPSE’s overall involvement

● Coordination

● Documentation

E. Bayan Innovation Group Fellows Program

● Coordinate with BIG, program clients, and Fellows/Consultants

● Oversee program flow and implementation

● Generate and present program reports

● Conduct fieldwork as needed

● Integrate the program with SAPSE initiatives
