The Permits Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the process of obtaining necessary permits and licenses for the company's projects. This role requires someone with extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate permit acquisition.

What You’ll Do:

  • Permit Acquisition - Manage the process of acquiring all necessary permits and licenses for projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and ordinances. Ensure all projects comply with applicable permitting requirements.
  • Documentation - Prepare, review, and submit permit applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Coordination - Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and facilitate the permitting process.
  • Liaison - Act as the primary point of contact between the company and regulatory agencies. Address any questions or concerns related to permits and compliance.
  • Tracking and Reporting - Maintain accurate records of all permits and related documentation. Track the status of permit applications and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving - Identify potential permitting issues and develop strategies to address and resolve them efficiently.
  • Process Improvement - Continuously evaluate and improve the permitting process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Training and Support - Provide guidance and training to team members on permitting procedures and regulatory requirements.
Profile

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in permit management, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
  • In-depth understanding of permitting processes, regulations, and requirements. Familiarity with environmental, zoning, and construction regulations.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory documents.
  • Proficiency in using permit management software and other relevant tools.
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
