Entrepreneurship in the territories: is it the right time?
The Energy Lead will be responsible for setting and driving the Green Energy strategy with Vietnamese energy providers, EVN and industrial park. This includes setting the Syre energy strategy, commercial and technical requirements towards the different stakeholders and lead the contract negotiations with multiple stakeholders. It also includes defining the most effective cost model for Syre energy consumption and ensuring the energy model and cost fulfils business and bankability requirements. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with expertise in energy to play a key role in shaping the company’s business in Vietnam.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for setting and driving the green energy strategy with Vietnamese energy providers, EVN and industrial park.
- Ensure the green energy strategy is in line with Syre’s overall strategy, timetable, business model and expansion plans.
- Drive establishment of green energy solutions from a technical and commercial perspective, including all activities internally at Syre and with external stakeholders.
- Participate in assessment of industrial parks from a green energy solution perspective.
- Collaborate with Industrial Park and set up plans to implement green energy solutions including energy storage, transmission lines, permitting, etc.
- Strategy execution and contracting with green energy providers and other stakeholders, and work closely with stakeholders to secure required permits.
- Collaborate closely with Syre functions to set up green energy requirements including more detailed consumption volumes, schedules, energy load, production process flow, risks, etc.
- Work with engineering to ensure a bridge between energy consumption and technologies that can balance energy needs, energy efficiency solutions and work with suppliers that offer this type of technology
- Collaborate with Syre finance function to update business model with relevant energy cost information
- Support the work of the sustainability team to ensure green energy solutions are in line with target.
- Responsible for planning and execution of Syre’s green energy projects in Vietnam
- Monitor and report on green energy project risks, implementing contingency plans as needed
