Role : Community Mobilisation, Student Leadership Project Lead

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to, the following:-
Plan, manage, and execute Student Leadership projects
- Plan and design sustainable Student Leadership projects by developing detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines to help the team achieve strategic goals and student vision
- Effectively project-manage, organise, and implement projects from end to end, across all aspects – including but not limited to budget, logistics, communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other team members to carry out student recruitment, student training, student alumni engagement and mentors and volunteers management relevant to the project
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders such as TFM’s partners, Fellows, students, schools, and teachers
- Proactively identify and assess project risks and issues, and implement contingency plans.
- Conduct and oversee the collection, analysis, and management of data and outcomes related to Student Leadership projects, ensuring accurate reporting and informed decision-making
- Produce impact reports for the Student Leadership projects
- Support other members within the team to successfully carry out their programmes and events
- Supervise and manage Interns, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development and contributions to the project (if applicable)
Innovate and adapt Student Leadership modules to students’ needs
- Collaborate with other team members to update and improve current Student Leadership modules based on diverse students’ needs
- Support onboarding and training of students with leadership modules
- Support the measure of impact of the leadership modules
Elevate student voice in the hearts and minds of the public:
- Create opportunities and platforms for student voice to be heard within and outside the organisation
- Update student database using survey methods to track students progress and achievements
- Collaborate with other team members to keep student alumni engaged in Teach For Malaysia’s mission and leadership movement
- Work collaboratively across functions to support the implementation of student leadership initiatives or workshops
KEY MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Growth in Student Leadership competencies (SCoRE - Social Emotional, Communication, Resilience, Entrepreneurship) – Increase the percentage of students who develop leadership competencies at the end of project delivery
- Growth in students’ confidence in applying leadership competencies – Increase the percentage of students who are confident in applying leadership competencies learned
- Foster sustainable impact – Increase the number of quality student projects that are sustained through the end of project cycle
