➔ Description of the mission

What We Do:

We develop leaders to improve educational opportunities for children in Thailand through our 2-year Fellowship Program. In the Fellowship Program, we recruit, develop, and place people from all backgrounds to teach in underserved schools for two years. During this time, Fellows learn through firsthand experience and grow their leadership skills by collaborating with stakeholders in schools and communities.

After their experience, graduates of the Program are empowered to drive positive changes in Thai education and beyond. Whether they carry on as teachers, become policymakers, start their own social enterprises or work in the public or private sector, they are able to affect change in different ways.

The Role: Creative Designer

At Teach for Thailand, design is about solving problems. Design turns complex ideas into clear visuals, tells compelling stories, and makes our work more visible and tangible. In this role, you’ll shape our visual identity across digital and physical platforms, creating solutions that drive awareness, engagement, and support for our movement.

This role is a good fit for someone who thrives in both teamwork and independent work — from generating ideas to building design systems and delivering final assets.

We are looking for a dependable designer with a strong work ethic, solid technical skills, and the ability to solve problems creatively. They take pride and ownership in their work — able to follow direction when needed, but also confident in using initiative to create designs that are conceptually strong and beautifully crafted.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in applying and developing visual language across digital, print, and motion to strengthen an organization’s identity and storytelling. A strong eye for typography and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Outcomes for the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Complex ideas and messages are made simple, clear, and engaging through design.
  • Teach for Thailand’s work becomes more visible and tangible to diverse audiences through a consistent, compelling visual identity.
  • Campaigns, events, and digital platforms are elevated by design solutions that inspire action and build stronger connections with stakeholders.
  • A practical design system and asset library are in place, enabling the team to communicate with quality, speed, and consistency.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop creative concepts and translate them into compelling media formats for both online and offline (graphic design, motion graphics, video, illustration, infographics, or interactive visuals) with the Communications Team.
  • Ensure all design outputs align with and strengthen Teach for Thailand’s visual identity and audience needs, while also pushing for innovation and creativity.
  • Provide creative guidance and thought partnership to colleagues across the organization.

➔ Profile

Who You Are

We know that not all strong candidates will have every skill listed below, and that’s okay. At Teach for Thailand, we are committed to building a diverse workforce, and that starts with how we hire. If you want to get your hands dirty across many types of creative work - From creating social media graphics and event visuals to shooting photos, filming and editing videos, and doing simple motion design, you’ll get hands-on experience across many types of creative work. It’s a great way to build range, sharpen your skills, and figure out what kind of creative work you love most.

This role might be a fit if you …

  • You have demonstrated experience showcasing creative design across multiple formats (graphic, motion, video, multimedia, etc.).
  • Problem-solving and creative: Ability to approach design as a problem-solving tool — analyzing challenges, identifying what needs to be communicated, and creating visual solutions that are both strategic and creative. Strong at simplifying complex ideas into clear, compelling visuals that inspire action and mobilize support.
  • You have a proven track record of managing the full project lifecycle to ensure key milestones are achieved and are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • You thrive in ambiguity and are comfortable working in an organization that is evolving and scaling. You step up to establish order from chaos, taking initiative and doing whatever it takes to ensure success, even if it means going beyond your formal role.
  • You embody Teach for Thailand’s core values - Mission Comes First, Grow Together, Sense of Possibility, and Act Like an Owner - in everything you do.
