POSITION SUMMARY

  • The Corporate Partnerships and Fundraising Senior Specialist will be responsible for researching, approaching, securing and managing corporate partnerships and individual donors/customers to do the fundraising events and campaigns.
  • This position provides a unique opportunity for an individual with superior strategic thinking, communication, analysis and project management skills to lead from the front in ensuring a sustainable fund for Teach for Viet Nam.
  • Reports to: Director of Development and Government Engagement
  • Location: Hybrid, with occasional travel to Quang Nam and Dong Thap

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Vision and Strategy (10%):

  • Develop communications and fundraising strategy to reach organizational goals.
  • Ensure communications and fundraising strategy is in alignment with Teach For Viet Nam’s mission and vision.
  • Track progress against strategy and report to relevant stakeholders on a regular basis.

Corporate Partnerships and Fundraising Development (80%):

  • Maintain and develop the existing Corporate and individual donor’s relationships of the organization.
  • Research potential Corporates and Individual donors, plan and deliver engaging approaches to them to secure fund and support for the organization.
  • Identify, secure and develop new Corporate partnerships and Individual donor’s opportunities, focusing on CSR budget and Corporate donations, sponsorship opportunities, employee fundraising, payroll giving and gifts in kind.
  • Represent the organization and undertake public speaking at external events, including a wide variety of networking events.
  • Assist in the implementation of existing, and the development of new products to fundraise from Corporate partnerships and Individual donors.
  • Implement all related administration, recording of income, banking, thanking and reporting for donations received, updating database on CRM with key contacts and information.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization to organize fundraising events and campaigns to maximize fundraising income.
  • Support Director of Development and Government Engagement in grant writing when needed.
  • Collaborate with the program officer to implement the events as the corporate partnerships and major donors required.
  • Selling products and services using solid arguments to prospective customers.
  • Performing cost-benefit analyses of existing and potential customers.
  • Maintaining positive business relationships to ensure future sales.
  • Other tasks as required by Direct Managers.

Learning and Development (10%):

  • Upskill through training and workshops with the regional and global network.
  • Take active part in building a learning organization and positive work culture (some activities include but are not limited to annual step-back, Summer Institute training, quarter and annual coaching conversations.)
Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related fields.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in marketing, communications or fundraising.
  • Proven track record in marketing and/or fundraising within the charity and/or private sectors, including substantial experience in achieving fundraising targets.
  • Good understanding of conservation issues and strategies; understanding of TFV’s work in Viet Nam and globally.
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering successful Marketing & Fundraising/Sales strategies, with evidence of delivering growth in income is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of communication, marketing and fundraising tools and approaches, their potential impact, and their suitability for an organization like TFV.
  • Experience leading and participating in multi-disciplinary teams to build consensus, optimism and confidence in the face of challenges, while charting new territory for TFV.
  • Comprehensive understanding and insights of relevant industries and markets .
  • Proven track record in managing risks and crises in working with the private sector is an Advantage.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships with a wide range of audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in Vietnamese and English, supported by good computer and digital skills.
