Purpose: To improve the efficiency and effectiveness of donor recruitment and public education by understanding the global and local medical and charity ecosystem, identifying opportunities for strategic partnership and reducing attrition at recruitment stage. To oversee the management of the marrow donor database. To lead and mentor the donor recruitment team to achieve strategic objectives.
- To formulate below the line strategies that leverage on partnerships through channels such as corporate, community, education, government achieving donor recruitment and public education opportunities for the charity.
- To drive innovative donor recruitment and public education strategies to fruition.
- To develop, mentor and lead the members of the donor recruitment to achieve their objectives.
- To oversee the recruitment curriculum, training and engagement of ambassadors to support the team’s objectives and the charities goals of building a volunteer database.
- To oversee the donor recruitment training curriculum for staff and volunteers ensuring that every member of the charity is affluent in donor recruitment.
- To drive strategies that reduce donor attrition from registration recruitment through to donation through digitization and other initiatives.
- To strategise and lead below the line communication for marrow donors, pledgers, ambassadors, and other stakeholders.
- To ensure drive/event operations are well organized and executed by the donor recruitment team and incidents are promptly managed.
- To oversee swab processing operations, increase efficiency and maintain data accuracy and integrity.
- To oversee the overall management of the marrow donor register ensuring donor quality and data integrity.
- To lead the charities annual flagship event – Match for Life.
- To oversee / support as manpower in recruitment initiatives when required.
- To review departments policy and procedures to be in compliance with the charities policies and in adherence to the requirements of regulating bodies such as WMDA.
- To take on the role of Assistant Data Protection Officer for the team and ensure adherence to PDPA Act.
- To plan, manage and review the teams budget, expenses and review yearly plans with the BMDP Management.
- To plan and organize the Donor Recruitment and Public Education Sub Committee meetings with the Public Education Manager.
- Embody and be an advocates of BMDP’s Core Values and Core Competencies of Commitment, Integrity, Teamwork Respect and Excellence
- Support and manage reporting staff in the following aspects:
- Day-to-day work and individual work goals
- Oversee their training and development
- Integrate BMDP’s Core Values and Core Competencies as part of the team’s culture
- Staff welfare and morale
