Entrepreneurship in the territories: is it the right time?

The Gender Studies Programme at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is the first programme in gender studies in the tertiary education sector in Hong Kong. It is an interdisciplinary unit based in the Faculty of Social Science, offering Bachelor, MA, MPhil and PhD programmes. The forward-looking team of Gender Studies Programme is inviting applications for the post of Assistant Professor on substantiation (tenure) track to join from the academic year 2026-27 or as soon as possible.
The appointee is expected to
(a) conduct research and secure research grants;
(b) teach courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
(c) supervise students’ theses;
(d) undertake administrative duties.
Applicants should possess:
(i) a PhD degree by the time of reporting for duty;
(ii) relevant research experience in gender/sex/sexuality-related areas;
(iii) demonstrated potential/ ability for high quality research; and
(iv) a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to excellent research, teaching, and service.
