Key Responsibilities
• Research and Prospecting: Identify Potential Funding Sources: Research and compile a comprehensive list of potential funders, including foundations, corporations, government agencies, and individual donors, with a focus on Singapore based and regional funding opportunities.
• Assess Eligibility: Analyse eligibility criteria to ensure alignment between funders' priorities and The Food Bank Singapore’s programmes.
The Ideal Candidate
You will bring an understanding of Singapore's charity landscape and the relevant legislation governing the sector, including the Charities Act, fundraising regulations, and compliance requirements overseen by the Commissioner of Charities (COC). Familiarity with local fundraising regulations, such as the requirement to obtain permits for fundraising activities and adherence to transparency and accountability standards, is essential. The candidate must be well-versed in ensuring that all activities comply with Singapore’s legal framework for charities.
