TNC Asia Pacific is building a pipeline of high-integrity Nature Based Solutions and carbon projects to be supported by a new Singapore-based project development team. We are investing in feasibility assessments and transaction readiness to originate and accelerate high-quality nature-based carbon projects in Asia Pacific and beyond, including a particular focus on Article 6-aligned nature-based projects in countries with Singapore implementation agreements. Where possible, we will develop tools and frameworks to support host countries to scale their use of the Article 6 mechanism.
The Policy & Partnerships Advisor plays a key role in the development and implementation of one or more strategies to achieve the Conservancy’s goals through interaction with governments, multilateral agencies, and/or the corporate sector. While this role is focused on the development of the Article 6 mechanism, the Advisor is anticipated to support the broader spectrum of policy development needs in the region.
Essential Functions
The Policy & Partnerships Advisor works with an interdisciplinary team to serve as a subject matter expert and advisor on complex and strategic issues. They liaise with TNC’s global strategy teams, Country program teams, Science and Field Conservation staff and External Affairs departments, as well as international Governments, NGOs and companies to further conservation goals, policies and strategy.
