Your Role
Aligned to our accelerated growth plan and further diversification of our Climate Infrastructure portfolio, you will have a unique opportunity to play a key role in executing on our innovative strategy. You will drive and be responsible for the origination, greenfield development, evaluation, negotiation, documentation, closing and asset management of greenfield development projects and investments within the renewable energy and broader climate infrastructure sectors. You will develop and maintain strong relationships and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of successful projects while utilising sound project management practices.
This role will be based in Manila and will report to the Director of Climate Infrastructure in Singapore and the SVP Business Development and Corporate Planning in Manila.
Your Responsibilities
- Origination and development of greenfield renewable energy and other climate infrastructure projects, including identifying potential customers / offtakers.
- Execute and manage the development of renewable energy projects.
- Preparation of initial project proposals.
- Taking projects through permitting, design, and final approvals.
- Aligning projects with our growth plan and strategy.
- Lead land acquisition campaigns, including identification of landowners, initiating contact, and negotiating land contracts.
- Negotiation of offtake, procurement / construction and financing arrangements.
- Management of Environmental Impact Assessment processes, and liaison with third party consultants, as required.
- Develop project plans and presentations addressing timelines, budget and risk assessment.
- Ensure economic viability of each project, and appropriate understanding of relevant risks.
- Manage permit application preparation and attend public permitting hearings.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including landowners, local and relevant authorities, public entities, advisors, grid operators, EPC and O&M contractors.
- Identify, quantify and be accountable for impact and E&S outcomes.
- Maintain a strong industry network and working relationships.
- Keep abreast of new industry developments, technologies, and tax incentives.
