Description of the mission

The GIS Analyst is responsible for developing research methods and new research ideas related to forest and land issues.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage, facilitate, and conduct research on the compilation, integration, and synchronisation of various geospatial data.

2. Analyse and consolidate existing data and maps as the basis of the Asia Trend Bioenergy team’s geospatial analysis.

3. Collaborate closely with Trend Asia’s Research Team to develop new research methods and ideas related to forest and land issues within the context of the bioenergy development programme in Indonesia.

Profile

Requirements:

Minimum S1 education from Faculty of Geography/Geodesy/Planning/Forestry.
Minimum 1 year of professional experience in the same field.
Good understanding of spatial analysis & remote sensing.
Proficient in programming languages, Google Earth Engine/Python.
Familiar with the dynamics of forestry, land use, energy and current climate issues.
