Job Summary:

The Environmental Sustainability Executive plays a key role in shaping and implementing the organisation’s environmental sustainability strategy. This position involves annual sustainability planning, ESG reporting, educational outreach, and fostering collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for sustainable practices.

Job Description:

1.Eco-Sustainability Planning and Development

  • Lead the annual planning and strategic development of environmental sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s mission and long-term goals.

2. ESG Sustainability Reporting

  • Prepare and manage Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reports, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with relevant frameworks and standards.

3. Environmental Education and Advocacy (Glow On Gallery)

  • Oversee the design and delivery of environmental education programmes, including the operation of the Glow On Gallery. Promote sustainability awareness through advocacy and public engagement.

4. Stakeholder Engagement and CollaborationBuild and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across sectors.

  • Facilitate collaboration with partners, volunteers, and the wider community to strengthen environmental impact and support joint initiatives.

Job Requirements:

  1. A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable.
  2. Proven experience in environmental sustainability, with a track record of successfully managing sustainability projects and initiatives. Experience within the specific industry sector is advantageous. Prior working experience in Environmental Sustainability or Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) roles will be an added advantage.
  3. Strong understanding of environmental regulations, sustainability frameworks, and industry best practices. Familiarity with sustainability reporting standards such as GRI, CDP, or similar. Sound knowledge of Facilities and Sustainability management initiatives such as PUB water efficiency management plan, BCA Green Mark, NEA Energy Efficiency.
  4. Skills:
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Analytical: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Problem-Solving: Creative and strategic problem-solving abilities, with a focus on sustainability challenges.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in sustainability reporting and compliance.

5. Passion for environmental sustainability, proactive approach, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sustainability-related software tools. Knowledge of data management and reporting software is an advantage.
