Summary:

The Communications and People Development Specialist supports the execution of internal communications, employee engagement, and workforce development initiatives at UCB. This role ensures clear communication, consistent employee experience, and alignment between culture, development programs, and business objectives.

The position works closely with HR and leadership to support employee engagement, learning and development, and organizational alignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal communications including company updates, leadership messages, and employee announcements.
  • Ensure consistent messaging aligned with company values, culture, and priorities.
  • Support cross-functional communication and information flow across teams.
  • Assist in implementing employee development programs, including training and career development initiatives.
  • Support performance management and employee engagement activities such as surveys and feedback programs.
  • Help ensure access to learning resources and development opportunities for employees.

Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Psychology, Communications, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3-4 years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, L&D, or HR roles
  • Experience supporting the execution of structured communication and employee engagement programs.
  • Experience assisting in the implementation of learning and workforce development initiatives.
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into employee-focused programs
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills for diverse audiences
  • Proficient in using digital, AI, or content tools to support communications and development programs
