➔ Description of the mission

Upgrade Energy Philippines (UGEP), a leading renewable energy company in the Philippines specializing in high-quality and cost-effective solar energy and energy efficiency solutions, is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Jr. Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Officer to join our growing team.

The Junior Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Officer, is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of UGEP's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, external communication, and key stakeholder engagement, with a strong emphasis on marketing and digital platforms. This role helps ensure that UGEP's external presence is consistent, positive, and effectively showcases our commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Corporate Communications & Marketing Support

  • Content Creation & Dissemination: Assist in drafting, editing, and scheduling external communications, including press releases, social media postings, internal announcements, and website content, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Digital Strategy: Support the management and content development for the company's digital platforms (website, social media), focusing on engaging storytelling and high visibility.
  • Campaign Support: Coordinate the execution of communication campaigns that promote the company’s initiatives, using creative and effective marketing techniques to reach target audiences.
  • Monitoring: Analyze and monitor media coverage, social media trends, and industry news related to the company's CSR and sustainability efforts, reporting insights to the team.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & ESG

  • Program Coordination: Assist in the day-to-day coordination and logistics of CSR initiatives, including employee volunteer programs, donation drives, and community-based projects.
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous records, photo/video archives, and documentation of all CSR activities for reporting and external communication purposes.
  • Research: Conduct background research on best practices, government policies, and industry trends in sustainability and corporate governance to inform future programming.
  • Sustainability Integration: Support the collection of data and preparation of materials related to the company's ESG performance (e.g., environmental metrics, social impact reports).

Stakeholder Relations

  • Community Engagement: Actively assist in developing and nurturing positive relationships with key external stakeholders, with a specific focus on local communities, non-profit partners, and industry associations.
  • Logistics: Manage event logistics for stakeholder meetings, community gatherings, and partnership launches.
  • Database Management: Maintain and update the stakeholder contact database to ensure accurate and timely communication.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

● Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Environmental Studies, Development Studies, or a related field.

● With relevant experience in a corporate setting or communications agency. Fresh graduates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply.

Exceptional Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to draft clear, compelling, and error-free content (press releases, social media captions).

Digital Savvy: Strong familiarity with social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) and digital content creation tools.

Project Coordination: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple small projects simultaneously with a high attention to detail.

Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including community partners.

Passion for Sustainability: Genuine interest in CSR, ESG principles, and environmental and social impact issues

Ability to Work Under Pressure: Demonstrated capacity to remain calm, focused, and effective in a fast-paced setting. Able to meet tight deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver high-quality work.
