Job Description:

  • Coordinate with NGCP regarding Plant shutdown and energization
  • Ensure compliance with Utility regulation e.g. NGCP
  • Ensure compliance with IEMOP/WESM/PEMC
  • Identifies operational problem by observing and studying system function and performance results.
  • Anticipates operational problem by studying operational targets and monitoring plant performance.
  • Troubleshoots PV plant problems that is affecting plant power output.
  • Assist the Operation Supervisor in preparing Performance Reports and provides inputs for Monthly Operational reports.
  • Operates HV and PV equipment.
  • Maintains safety and heathy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Perform Other duties as assigned.
  • Be responsible for the safe and proper operation of the solar power plant, switchyard, transmission line and associated control and monitoring systems;
  • Responsible for the formulation of the Plant PMS program;
  • Responsible for the monitoring of the PMS activities;
  • Supervise O&M Filed A with the implementation of the Operations Plan and Maintenance Program and identify those areas which may need improvement:
  • Curative Maintenance Activities
  • Preventive Maintenance Activities
  • Prepare all data and reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, annually) to be submitted to Vena O&M group;
  • Generate reports for regulatory compliance (i.e. DOE, DENR, ERC, etc.) as required;
  • Respond to upset conditions and take necessary corrective actions, as reported by the operators;
  • Report abnormal or emergency plant conditions to the Head Engineer;
  • Ensure O&M contractor's implementation of the plant's preventive maintenance program, including equipment failure records, and provide trend information to the Head Engineer;
  • Administer the spare parts inventory control program and prepare requisitions for purchase orders for replacement parts, as required;
  • Prepare equipment malfunction reports, make inspections and from observation, determine whether equipment is operating properly;
  • Assist PV Supervisor in Plant Operation; and
  • Perform Other duties as assigned.
Profile

Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed Electrical Engineer
  • With one to two years' experience in Solar Plant Operations & Maintenance
  • Preferably with working knowledge in SCADA
