Role Description

The Solar Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Tangerang. This role is responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining solar power systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site assessments, performing electrical and mechanical installation work, testing system performance, and troubleshooting technical issues. The Solar Technician will also complete routine inspections, document maintenance activities, ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations, and provide basic guidance to customers on system operation. Collaboration with engineers, project managers, and other field technicians is expected to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and to quality standards.

Profile

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of solar systems and solar power, including PV components, wiring, and system configuration.
  • Knowledge of the solar industry and power generation principles, preferably with prior experience in renewable energy projects.
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting on solar installations and related electrical and mechanical components.
  • Basic to intermediate electrical skills, including reading single-line diagrams and using measurement tools safely.
  • Strong focus on safety practices, adherence to regulations, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, including working at heights and lifting equipment as required.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and document work clearly.
  • Vocational or technical certification in electrical, renewable energy, or a related field is preferred; relevant hands-on experience is highly valued.
