The Youth Engagement Team facilitates the application of World Vision’s international expertise as a child-focused humanitarian and development organisation to needs in Singapore. Collaboration with partners in the local education, youth, and social service sectors, as well as the church in Singapore, is an integral part of the department’s work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, execution, and evaluation of educational activities, flagship events, and media campaigns for youth aged 13-25, including (and not limited to) the 30 Hour Famine and the Youth For Change Conference.

  • Managing strategic partnerships, including (and not limited to) partnerships in the education, youth, and social service sectors in Singapore, to advance collaboration on shared educational and service objectives.

  • Coordinating in-person and online service-learning projects with partners in the education and youth sectors. The successful applicant will also lead service-learning trips to World Vision’s Area Programmes abroad (when conditions permit), and mentor online service-learning projects.

  • Creative conceptualisation and copywriting for communications assets for youth programmes and campaigns, and writing articles and advertorials for media outlets.

  • Where necessary, researching the funding landscape for initiatives pertaining to youth development and cognate domains, and preparing grant applications to secure financial support for youth programmes.

  • Supporting the management of partnerships with churches, para-church organisations, and faith-based networks in Singapore to achieve shared ministry objectives.

  • At least 4 years of work experience in the education sector and/or youth sector in Singapore. (In addition, a good understanding of the local social service sector will be an advantage.)
