➔ Description of the mission

Major Activities

  • Coordinate with key stakeholders and work on developing relevant resources for ESD teacher training activities.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with project partners (national and international), stakeholders and other environmental education and youth organizations.
  • Ensure work plans are implemented effectively and where there is a concern or problem, discuss this with the supervisor.
  • Provide timely information and updates to communicate about teacher training activities via various communication channels.
  • Provide feedback and update the supervisor on the challenges encountered to address them in a timely manner.
  • Execute work plans to achieve the deliverables of the relevant ESD goals, objectives and PIRs.
  • Support the development and upkeep of project documents that include project proposals, database, presentation slides, scheduling and coordination for training in consultation with the supervisor and relevant project executant(s).
  • Support the upkeep repository of key documents to facilitate impact tracking, reporting and budgeting of the ESD activities.
  • Undertake learning and training to improve the relevant technical knowledge on conservation, education system, project management skills and other relevant fields for the benefit of the project.
  • Undertake other work assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Specifications

  • A relevant degree in a field relevant to education, conservation or sustainability.
  • Minimum 5 years’ working experience in related fields.
  • Mature, able to work with minimum supervision in the office, and has the capacity to act on issues with professionalism.
  • Excellent written and oral skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Having a third language is preferable.
  • Must be computer literate and able to use appropriate technology for presentation to partners, stakeholders, and potential donors. Knowledge of social media content creation and optimization would be an advantage.
  • Having a valid driving license is preferable.
  • Pleasant disposition, hardworking, team player, committed, dedicated and interested in the conservation cause.
  • Good interpersonal skills, innovative thinking, versatile, and ability to work in a team.
  • Good understanding of and interest in environmental and conservation issues.
  • Having knowledge and prior experience and involvement with youth and teacher development organizations would be an advantage.
