Main Responsibilities / Duties

  1. Coordinate ASRI Kids and ASRI Teens activities at schools
  2. Teach ASRI Kids and ASRI Teens classes
  3. Encourage schools to increase the knowledge and awareness of school members in environmental conservation efforts
  4. Coordinate and carry out collaboration activities with the community
  5. Coordinate and carry out community outreach activities
  6. Prepare and implement training activities
  7. Monitor the follow-up of Planetary Health Education training activities
  8. Create Planetary Health Education materials
  9. Work with related stakeholders
  10. Document all Planetary Health Education program activities
  11. Make a Term of Reference (ToR), budget, and reports for the activities conducted
  12. Carry out administrative activities related to Planetary Health Education Program that consists of correspondence, procurement, logistic and asset maintenance.
  13. Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders which correlate with education such as National Park Official, local government and other relevant stakeholders
  14. Work together with both the Planetary Health Education internal team and other divisional teams at ASRI

Outputs / Key Deliverables

  1. Number of schools and ASRI Kids/Teens groups actively reached per term, against an agreed annual target (e.g., a defined number of schools per working area)
  2. Number of ASRI Kids/Teens classes, community trainings, and outreach sessions conducted per month
  3. Average participant feedback score for trainings and education sessions meets or exceeds the minimum threshold set by the Planetary Health Education Manager (e.g., 4 out of 5)
  4. Program activity data entered into ASRI’s database within an agreed turnaround time of completed activities (e.g., within one week)
  5. Monthly activity reports and quarterly program reports submitted on time, in the agreed format
  6. Number of active partnerships maintained with schools, National Park officials, local government, and other relevant stakeholders, with at least one documented engagement (meeting, joint activity, or correspondence) per partner each quarter

Selection Criteria

  1. Willingness to live and work in Gunung Palung National Park site and to travel within ASRI’s working area in Kalimantan particularly ASRI BBBRNP Project area or other areas as required.
  2. Minimum bachelor’s degree in education, science or other relevant degree.
  3. Minimum 2 years of working experience; working in non-profit organizations and a relevant experience of working is preferable.
  4. Willingness to teach kids, teens, and adults
  5. Proven ability to work effectively with Microsoft Office applications relevant to carry out this position; proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  6. Ability to prepare activity planning and monitoring
  7. Ability to work independently and as a team
  8. Have experiences to work with stakeholders, including community members, government officials, and NGO partners is preferable
  9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
  10. Proven technical knowledge and skills in areas as described in the Main Responsibilities / Duties of this position.
  11. Good in written and spoken English is preferable
  12. Fluency in local languages is desirable.
  13. Not Smoking.
