Summary Of Responsibilities

Planning

  • Support CAM Advisor/Team Leader to develop Yayasan IPAS Indonesia’s Climate adaptation strategy to reduce vulnerability of women and girls in relation to their reproductive health and rights, and to support local resiliency to climate loss and damage
  • In close collaboration with Yayasan IPAS Senior Management Team and CAM Advisor, develop plans and execute implementation to respond to climate-induced disasters as its emerges

Project and Program Management:

  • Ensure IPAS Indonesia’s strategy integrate climate change into other cross-cutting technical areas (gender equality, health system strengthening, and community engagement) and priorities are effectively integrated into program implementation.
  • Maintain high quality partnership with climate change actors and/stakeholders both at project sites and also at national level the Project Steering Committee at provincial and district level.
  • Lead Yayasan IPAS Indonesia team for the emergency response and humanitarian works following a climate-induced disaster event.
  • Represent IPAS Indonesia in the climate change related coordination with key stakeholders in Central Sulawesi Province

Technical Assistance:

  • Under the supervision of the Community Access and Mobilization (CAM) Team Leader/Advisor and coordination with other units, ensure technical advice and support are implemented for local stakeholders and sub-grantees to ensure quality delivery of program implementation.
  • Build the capacity of Yayasan IPAS Indonesia team to better understand climate adaptation and mitigation strategy, and to support inclusion of climate justice into IPAS Indonesia’s reproductive justice works

Reporting:

  • Support Project Coordinator to produce regular project report for donors and other stakeholders with quality data and narrative
  • Conduct regular project update meetings with government counterparts in project areas.

M&E

  • Collaborate with Project Coordinator and MEL Specialist in co-creating and implementing participatory MERLA activities.
  • Ensure that the program has appropriate, relevant, and up-to-date materials, tools, resources, and templates for documenting and monitoring its activities

Finance:

  • Understand the overall Finance regulation in Yayasan IPAS Indonesia
  • Ensure all activities comply with Yayasan IPAS Indonesia’s financial regulation which includes but not limited to completion of receipts and timely reporting

HR & Administration

  • Understand and comply with the HR regulation in Yayasan IPAS Indonesia
  • Ensure all activities comply with the regulation in Yayasan IPAS Indonesia

Ethics

  • Understand and practice ethical process and behavior as per the organization's standard
  • Contribute to safe working environment where every team member is treated equally and respectfully
  • Ensure external consultant understand and practice ethical process and behavior while in partnership and implement program with Yayasan Ipas Indonesia

Other

  • Perform other related duties as required

Internal & External Customers / Suppliers as well as Third Parties

  • Collaborate with other unit advisors, managers, project coordinators and officers for successful project implementation.
  • Ensuring all project activities and its external partners comply with Yayasan Ipas Indonesia's branding strategy and design.
  • Maintain mutual relationship with partners and other stakeholders through representation of Yayasan IPAS’s mission to uphold women’s and girls’ rights to quality SRH.
  • When deemed necessary, represent the project at provincial and district level coordination meeting with relevant stakeholders to ensure incorporation of Ipas objectives into the discussion.
Profile

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in relevant field (environmental science, development studies, public health, social work) with at least 8 years of experience in development work. Having a master degree is an advantage
  • Experience in working in climate change and gender issues is a must, with at least 3 years senior technical roles
  • Deep knowledge on Climate adaptation and mitigation strategy, humanitarian response, and gender with orientation towards improving the space for protection towards women and girls and their reproductive health and rights.
  • Fluent in Indonesian and English (speaking and writing)
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to travel when needed.
