➔ Description of the mission

Position Overview:

Youth Connect Foundation is seeking a motivated Vocational Training Assistant to support our training programs. The assistant will help with materials preparation, classroom support, and communication between trainers and trainees, ensuring smooth operation of training sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Materials Preparation & Procurement

  • Assist with purchasing raw materials and supplies needed for training.
  • Communicate effectively with local sellers and trainers to ensure all materials are ready.
  • Prepare materials for practical and lesson during training periods.
  • Find alternatives if certain items are unavailable locally and coordinate with trainers to adjust lessons.
  • Support training sessions by handling urgent material needs or resolving minor issues at the training center.

2. Training Session Support

  • Assist trainers during sessions by facilitating communication between trainers and trainees.
  • Help manage the classroom environment and support trainees’ learning.
  • Observe training sessions and keep records of trainee participation, progress, and any issues that arise.
  • Act as a bridge between trainers and trainees throughout the session.

➔ Profile

Qualifications:

  • Able to communicate effectively in Thai, Burmese, or English.
  • Basic Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
  • Familiar with Mae Sot area and able to navigate local locations.
  • Open-minded, committed, and flexible.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in data collection, surveys, and reporting is a plus.
  • Experience in supporting youth, vocational training, or classroom settings is a plus.
