What You Should Have
We are seeking energy professionals to deliver innovative Energy Transition Projects (LNG/Offshore Wind) to our clients. As part of an interconnected team, you will provide engineering and consultancy services in the early engineering project phase. As part of the AFRY team, you will be involved in feasibility studies, conceptual design, technical due diligence, and basic engineering across LNG and Offshore wind projects in Asia.
Requirements
- Degree in Marine/Naval Architect/Ocean Engineering from a recognized university
- Experience of between 4 to 8 years in marine design in LNG terminals, Offshore Projects and O&G projects
- Develop up to FEED level design of Jetty structure that includes loading platform, Breasting Dolphins, Mooring Dolphins, Connecting Catwalks, and Trestle
- Floating structure hydrodynamic diffraction analysis
- Develop Static and Dynamic mooring analysis for LNG terminal berth that will include determining Jetty location, Orientation, length, etc
- Carry out Ship-to-shore compatibility study, Downtime/Uptime assessment for berths
- Computational fluid dynamic (CFD) analysis
- Develop linear calculations and nonlinear calculations (material, geometry and contact non linearities) using FEA (Local/Global check)
- Review of Offshore Geotechnical and Topographic Survey report
- Review of Metocean Survey report
- Calculate BOQ to drive overall CAPEX/OPEX
- Good understanding of PIANC and other International codes and standards to drive the mooring forces from vessel
- Strong English writing skills and should be fluent in speaking
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple interfaces and prioritize work

You should have hands-on experience with the following software;
- 3D software (RHINOCEROS, Solidworks, Designmodeller and SpaceClaim)
- OrcaFlex/MOSES/ANSYS AQWA (Hydrodynamic)
- Mike 21/3 Thermal Pume Study
- Optimoor/ShipMoor (Marine)
- AutoCAD (Drafting)
AFRY office location for this position is Malaysia.
