Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed irrigation system designs based on site analysis, soil, topography, and crop requirements.
  • Create detailed layouts and drawings using CAD software and other relevant tools.
  • Incorporate sustainable irrigation techniques and optimize water usage.
  • Ensure that all designs meet local water regulations and environmental standards.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines. Develop comprehensive project plans to ensure smooth execution.
  • Prepare project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Allocate project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, contractors, and field staff, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
  • Oversee the project schedule, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure that irrigation systems are installed correctly and meet performance standards through regular site visits and inspections.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • On-site Supervision: Oversee the installation of irrigation systems, ensuring adherence to design plans and technical specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support during installation and operational phases.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Manage testing and commissioning of systems to ensure full functionality and efficiency.
  • Provide regular reports on project progress, including timelines, costs, and key milestones.
  • Maintain detailed records of project activities, from initial design to final installation and handover.
Profile

Job Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in irrigation design and at least 3 years of experience in project management.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and/or specialized irrigation design software.
  • Strong understanding of project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Knowledge of water management systems, pump sizing, drainage systems, and pipework.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Strong financial management skills for budget tracking and cost control.
  • Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with Cambodian water regulations and environmental requirements.
  • Knowledge of sustainable irrigation technologies and water conservation practices.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with smart irrigation systems and automated controls.
  • Experience working on large-scale agricultural or landscaping projects.
  • Fluency in Khmer and English (both written and spoken).
