Due to business expansion in Hong Kong, we are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager with profound local market knowledge to join our team and contribute to the development of the green finance ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific region.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of climate-related consulting services, including climate risk assessments, scenario analysis, quantification of climate-related financial implications, carbon accounting, and climate reporting.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of climate risk models tailored for financial institutions and corporations.
  • Assist in quantifying greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, with a strong focus on Scope 3 emissions, particularly Category 15 (Financed Emissions).
  • Support the wider team in executing ESG consulting projects, including ESG reporting, strategy formulation, and management consulting.

Profile

Requirements:

Experience:

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in climate change and ESG consulting, data analytics, or a related advisory role. Prior experience focusing on the financial sector is a significant advantage.
  • Less experience will be considered as Analyst.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Green Finance, ESG/Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Regulatory & Framework Knowledge:

  • Proven experience with HKMA SPM GS-1 and conducting climate risk scenario analysis (physical and transition risks) for financial institutions is required.
  • Deep understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks and standards (e.g., HKEX ESG Code, ISSB, CSRD, GRI) is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Essential knowledge in GHG emissions quantification, particularly for Scope 3 emissions, with a solid understanding of methodologies such as the GHG Protocol and PCAF.
  • Solid understanding of climate models and scenarios, such as NGFS and IPCC.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint with the ability to translate complex data into engaging and visually compelling presentations.

Language Skills:

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; fluency in both Cantonese and Putonghua is a significant advantage.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong collaborative mindset with the ability to actively contribute to team discussions and project delivery.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with ESG consulting in both the **Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland markets**is advantageous.
